The goal of this blog is to build publicity, excitement and hopefully funding for what can be conservatively summarized as a really good idea.

We are setting out to make a documentary about Energy Policy in the United States. Sounds thrilling right? Well, we think it can be. This is because this documentary will not focus on the enormity of Climate Change or Public Policy.

There are established celebrity leaders in the fight against Global Warming. Al Gore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Laurie David and David Suzuki, just to name a few. And we salute them for what they have done. At the end of the day, they are responsible for galvanizing a lot of people to action, for opening a lot of eyes. However, movies like “Inconvenient Truth” and “the 11th hour” have also been lightning rods, responsible for a lot of people tuning out or losing interest. They lay out the problems, make sure we all feel pretty bad about it, and then jump back on their jet (subtle dig, we know) and roll out again, leaving us feeling a little… hopeless.

Lets take the 11th hour as our example. Watch this trailer, and then read below the break. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IBG2V98IBY]

And don’t even get me started on the wide world of resources available to you if you want to start gardening, modeling, or (as I’ve recently learned) collecting tropical Fi…. Sharks.

So, its safe to assume that everything is available, even down to ways to Green your daily lifestyle. And your assumption would be right! You can find the right light bulbs. You can find insulation made of Blue Jeans. You can find houses made to look like they belong in Tolkein’s Shire. Hobbit Home

And, Yes, you could own that home, if thats your thing. But really, do you think that would work on your Suburban block?
