A few words on Auto-emission standards:

We in the American Green institute submit that any change in emission standards is a good thing. While it seems that many Americans are coming around to the fact that giant SUV’s aren’t a great call for the environment, as long as the Robinson’s down the street have a giant gas guzzler it looks like we can’t expect your average American to take action themselves. Thus, we salute the Bush administration for taking the initiative to raise the MPG from 25 to 35 for “the fleet average” of American Made cars. Sure, its not a lot. Sure, its some indeterminate point in the future. Sure, its relatively toothless if the auto manufactur… you know what? Screw it. We take back our salute. We will give the Bush Administration a nod. But no salutes.

It seems that the people might not speak up on a national level and vote against SUV’s with their Wallets, because no one seems to be willing to turn down the perceived safety and comfort of a large vehicle. And if the Government won’t act nationally to push auto manufacturers as far as people think they should, someone might have to take things into their own hands! Right? Right??

Wrong. More below the fold.

We are aware of the rules and regulations regarding Blogs: That, traditionally, more then 3 days between posts is the equivalent of death via obsolescence. This means that the whopping two months since we last managed to update The American Green is, in all fairness, eons in the blogosphere and that everything that has ever existed in terms of readership is long since picked up the curtain and gone to join the choir invisible.

We are very sorry for our delay. We apologize. We could make up a story about being really busy, and about working on other new material for the website, but come on people, lets be real. This was supposed to be a web log! And we failed. We are sorry.

To get back into the flow of things, lets take a look at an amusing little video that a few of our favorite stars put together during the writers strike. While I think we can safely say that no actual writing went into the production of this bit, it still made us laugh!
